I’m finally getting back in the swing of blogging more regularly (pun intended), and just in time to announce that I’ve been chosen by CASA of the Coastal Bend to throw out the first pitch at CASA’s Night at the Hooks this upcoming Tuesday night. The Corpus Christi Hooks game will be against the San Antonio Missions. I haven’t thrown a baseball in at least 20 years. That’s a scary but true fact. So I went to the internet for some inspiration.
What a wonderful and inspirational moment this young man experienced and shared with others!
Or maybe I’ll do a few stretches and pull of something like this gymnast!
On a serious note, one of the things that I always try to impart to others as advice is that in your life endeavors you should pursue something that coincides two important aspects: talent and passion. Once you discover those two things try to find a vocation (job) that incorporates both aspects, and follow that with your whole heart. At the very least I encourage you to make it your avocation (hobby) and partner with your local government, community, or non-profits and organizations for the betterment of society. In that instance, both sides win. I set out on my photography journey reaching out to many different non-profits, some of which I still play vital roles with, CASA being one of them. Casa is a wonderful organization with a tremendous goal: speak up for children when they need it most. Learn more about CASA by clicking here. Here are some moments over the years that I’ve shared with CASA. Note please click the links to be taken to new window:
