The last time I had back-to-back weddings (on Devon and Eric in San Antonio on Friday and Jennifer and Daryl in Port Aransas, Tx on Saturday), both braved the rain. Devon’s was the first in fact to be rained out at the new Eilan Hotel to be forced into the lobby for a ceremony. Everything naturally turned out for the best in those ceremonies, besides some make the claim that it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day – I’ll buy that! This back-to-back time around both ceremonies completely avoided direct rain on their ceremonies although there was still plenty of rain happening all around the area.
Amanda and Roger celebrated their Destination Wedding in Aransas Pass, Texas at Mansion by the Sea on June 8, 2013. The ceremony was filled with rain clouds both near and fair, but for the most part, we dodged anything substantial. I don’t know if I’m just getting lucky, but ALL of my weddings seem less like a ceremony and more like a celebration – which is what they SHOULD be! The two, along with all of their guests, travelled down from Austin, Texas – Oh how I love the city! They enjoyed a wonderful ceremony on the beach, and then celebrated until, as far as I know, well past 4 AM, the point at which I called it a night – how many photographers close down the place??? Answer – not many!! I wish these TWO love birds many moons filled with happiness and wonder and love and etc… Thank you both for allowing me to capture the wonderful ceremony!
