CASA of the Coastal Bend Night at the Hooks – July 31, 2012 – Corpus Christi, Texas

Last night (July 31, 2012) was CASA of the Coastal Bend’s Night at the Hooks in Corpus Christi, Texas. We welcomed the newest 9 voices for children in foster care as they graduated from CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) training. County Court at Law #5 Judge Brent Chesney swore in the volunteers just before the start of the Hooks game, while Lee Harrison (Board of Directors) threw out the first pitch.

If you would like to become a CASA volunteer you need to be 21 years or older, pass a criminal background check, attend the free training and most importantly have a willingness to listen to a child and a desire to help.  The next class is scheduled to begin in the second week of September 2012.  To sign up for the next class please contact Diana Booth at 884-2272.
