Corpus Christi Zombie Bowling League Week 2 VIDEO Recap | April 14, 2013 | Saratoga Lanes | Corpus Christi, Texas

Zombie Bowling League Week 2: When Zombies ATTACK!

Here’s a video recap. Quick note: This adorable little lady from week 1, who was so terrified to have her picture taken, came up to me and shared that she loved her picture!  That was an awesome compliment I had never received from a young one before.  She came back in week 2 all “Zombied OUT” – even attacked her mom!

NOTE: This video may or may not cause seizures. It has a lot of blinking strobe lights, and has quick edits. Also, THIS IS A FAN VIDEO and NOT intended for resale or COMMERCIAL PURPOSES!

The ladies in the grandma outfits wanted to have the song “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis in there because they just purchased their outfits from thrift shop, and the Harlem Shakes song was included because of the spiderman’s request.

Other than that… the little zombie in white did an amazing job – “freaking out” as a zombie.

From Week ONE POST:

Here are some of my favorites from yesterday. I LOVE the one with mother and child!  The little one didn’t want to take a pic, and for some reason the mother turned around dipped the child towards camera and acted like she was going to bite her… and the angst in the daughters face while staring right at the camera is PRICELESS to me.  On the same note the portrait with the mother by herself ROCKS too! Also I dig the four ladies with the rockabilly look (blue jeans), the one where the lady has her glasses halfway down her face.  The ONE with the young child jumping on his father’s back is PERFECTly ZOMBIEFIED!  NOTE: the two with the make-up all over their bodies won the costume competition. (of course I like all of the others just as equally much!)

Oscar Martinez Art Show | Austin, Texas | Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center

So honored to share this with you all.  A few months ago I started shooting these editorials for the local newspaper which featured the clothing styles of local individuals.  Well one of my first assignments was this gentleman with sparkling rings and flashy coats, even a twinkling smile!  His name is Oscar Martinez.  Apart from championing Tejano music, touring all across Texas on a red school bus, he is a talented painter.  He has been honored by the Tejano Hall of Fame, Tejano Roots Hall of Fame, and the Nettie Lee Benson Latino American Collections at UT Austin (best school in the WORLD!)  He is going to have a public exhibit at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center located at 600 River St. Austin, Texas, 78701.  The exhibit will run from january 19-March 30, 2013, with an opening night reception at 6 to 9 PM with a performance by Oscar Martinez featuring Larry Lange and his Lonely Knights beginning at 6:30.  Make sure to visit the “Friends of Oscar” section… where you might recognize a familiar face… I’ll give you a hint, it begins with “M” and ends with ….. “E.”

Below is the informational flyer for event as well as some of the images captured by myself for the assignment … and includes his rendering of ME.

The Noble Pig Sandwich Shop | Austin, Texas | December 2012

I finally was able to return to the Noble Pig Sandwich shop… before the world ended!  So if you’re reading this consider yourself one of the “lucky” ones who survived.   Anyways I had the chance to share the experience with my sister – her first visit in fact.

Texas Longhorns Women’s Volleyball Team wins National Championship! HOOK ‘Em HORNS!

The last time The University of Texas Longhorns played in a National Championship against a “Heisman winner” was in the 2005 National Championship.  It was where Vince Young the best player in ALL of college football  took a 4th and 5 and turned it into a National Championship.  And it should be noted I endured watching with 3 aggies…

WWE Super Smackdown Live! Corpus Christi, Texas, American Bank Center, June 3, 2012 #USA

There’s only been one other time where I walked into something thinking, “This is going to be such a corny event,” only to walk out totally in love with it – and that was when I fell in love with the PHANTOM of Phantom of the Opera.  Anyways as a child, I LOVED wrestling, at least until I knew it was fake. Nonetheless the environment was so exciting, charged, and even somewhat emotional in particular when Hacksaw Jim Duggan fought alongside Sgt. Slaughter, and began starting chants of “USA! USA! USA!”  It was a moving moment a day removed from July 4, 2012.   We had front row seats and I couldn’t've enjoyed it more.  NOTE: These are FAN PHOTOS and NOT intended for monetary GAIN. Oh and my camera died during the Battle Royal with 20 FREAKING WRESTLERS IN THE RING AT ONE TIME!!!  So if I can get those copies I’ll update this gallery! All photos taken with an Iphone 4.
